Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of users who click on your search result after seeing it, calculated by dividing clicks by impressions.

## What Is Click-Through Rate?
Click-through rate (CTR) in SEO is the ratio of users who click on your search result to the total number of users who see it (impressions). It is calculated as: `CTR = (Clicks / Impressions) × 100`. For example, if your page appears in search results 1,000 times and receives 50 clicks, your CTR is 5%. CTR data is available in Google Search Console.

## Why CTR Matters for SEO
CTR is both a **performance metric and a potential ranking signal**. Higher CTR means more traffic from the same rankings. Google may use CTR as a user satisfaction signal — pages with above-average CTR for their position might get a ranking boost, while pages with below-average CTR might drop.
