## What Is Pagination SEO?
Pagination SEO addresses the challenges of content split across multiple pages — product listings, article archives, forum threads. Each paginated page needs to be crawlable so search engines discover all items, but the pages themselves should not compete with each other in search results.

## Why Pagination Matters for SEO
Poor pagination handling can prevent search engines from discovering content deep in paginated sequences. If page 1 links only to page 2, and page 2 only to page 3, a crawler must follow 100 links to reach page 100. This wastes crawl budget and means items on later pages may never be indexed.

## How to Optimize Pagination
Use self-referencing canonical tags on each paginated page (do not canonical all pages to page 1). Implement linked pagination so crawlers can reach all pages efficiently. Ensure paginated pages have unique titles and descriptions.
