Yahoo Search is one of the original internet search engines, dating back to 1995. Since 2009, Yahoo Search has been **powered by Microsoft Bing's index** through a search partnership. Despite this, Yahoo maintains its own search interface and reaches over **1 billion monthly users** through its portal, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News, and other properties. Yahoo holds approximately 1-2% global search market share but remains significant in certain demographics and markets (notably Japan, where Yahoo Japan is dominant).
